FAMILIES IN QUEST OF GOD
$ 1.55
Description
The institution of marriage is going through a crisis almost everywhere in the world. It is not sufficient to rely on a theology and pastoral care of marriage because they belong to a social ecclesial context that is yet to develop in all the churches.
Therefore, we need to have the courage to walk different ndash; more creative ndash; paths, starting from the ethical and spiritual experience of couples, families and the pastoral workers who are in contact with them. This is the fruit of the 2013 ndash;2015 synodal process on the family which led to the publication of Amoris Laetitia on love in the family (AL) in 2016: giving a voice to all the baptised, clerics and lay people, inviting them to reflect, individually and in small groups, on the callings and challenges that God presents today regarding the family, keeping in mind the local and then the global context.
The author highlights the social and cultural environment in which people build their emotional and family relationships. This identifies the opportunities for a credible expression of the Christian message about human love. He directs us to the pedagogical resources for families, and stresses liturgical aids available to Christian communities through their baptism and especially the spiritual riches gained from the rites of the Church. All those searching for God can make this resource book their own in the daily fabric of their family life.
