$ 1.60
Description
The Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Act of 2012 (POCSO) is a specific legislation that protects children against sexual assault, pornographic violations, and sexual harassment. This Act is of paramount concern to the Catholic Church that in the educational institutions we become, for the young, signs and bearers of God’s love. This policy is our loving commitment to the protection of children against any abuses. This CBCI Child Protection Policy will help to eliminate vigilantly all risks of child exploitation and abuse in all our services. The first part deals with explaining the types of abuses and gives guidelines to all our management, staff and Associates. The second part deals with various procedures including setting up ‘Child Protection Committee’ in each of our institutions. It is important that all those who are involved in the work of the education, in a catholic Educational Institution, including the Management, Staff, Volunteers, and other Visiting Faculties, support the rights of the children to ensure that a safe environment that promotes learning and growth in an atmosphere of spontaneity and freedom, is maintained.
